Only The Beginning!

Updated: Mar 2, 2020

What would you do if someone told you they’d give you a million dollars but with the ultimatum of never being able to listen to music? Would you take the money? For some this question might be hard to answer. But if I was to be asked this, I’d pass on the money in a heartbeat. I don’t even want to imagine a world without being able to listen to music.

Music has always been such a big part of my life. Growing up with an older brother is really how I got put onto hip-hop, rap and R&B at such a young age.

Back in the day my friends would be giving me their iPods for me to download music because I was always on top of new music and had a massive LimeWire library. I always just think to myself, damn, I really was a little seven-year-old girl just blasting Lil Wayne, 50 Cent, Eminem, etc.

Being bilingual means I get to listen to double the music. Latin music is so amazing and feel bad for everyone who can’t experience it. There’s cumbia, banda, bachata, but my favorite is reggaeton because it’s the Spanish hip hop.

I would have to say that hip-hop has to be my favorite genre of music. It’s my go-to and main interest.

I am a complete concert junkie. The moment I see an artist, that I listen to, is coming to Oregon I am always begging my friends to go to concerts. There’s nothing like a night of hearing your favorite artists live. Already this month I’ve been to three concerts. In just the last year I went to like over 15 concerts.

Now that I am older I want to continue my interests in music and make it part of my career. During college I’ve been able to find a passion for public relations. I also have stellar organizing and planning skills. And one day it just clicked, I was like woah imagine being an event manager for shows or festivals, or doing communications for a music label or even an actual artist. Now I am seeing that I can really make it happen if I want to. I get so excited thinking about the possibilities of the future.

My hopes for this blog is that it can be a source for y’all to learn about the latest events from the hip-hop, rap, R&B and

reggaeton scene. Thank you for reading!
